Efficient data management for clear findings

IndiScale has supported the German Institute for Human Rights in two central monitoring projects in the areas of human trafficking and violence against women. The German government commissioned the German Institute for Human Rights to analyze progress and deficits in the implementation of international conventions.

  • Gender-based violence: The “Monitor Violence against Women” examines the implementation of the Istanbul Convention in Germany. Part of the study is an analysis of data on prevention, protection and counseling against violence and training.
  • Human trafficking: The “Monitor Human Trafficking” surveyed prevention measures, support systems and strategies of the federal states for implementing the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings and the EU Directive against Trafficking in Human Beings. Over 500 forms received provided a solid data basis.

Practice: indicator-based monitoring

With a secure, user-friendly and sustainable data management infrastructure, IndiScale contributes to the efficient collection of decision-relevant data and makes it usable in the long term. To this end, we have developed an online input mask that is linked to our open source data management solution LinkAhead.

  • Secure online input screens: Various external data holders can enter data simultaneously via secure access.
  • User-friendliness: An intuitive web interface facilitates operation across all institutions.
  • Automation: Once the data has been curated, database entries including version history are created automatically.
  • Sustainability: The data is stored in a future-proof manner and can be reused for further analyses and measures. The close connection to LinkAhead simplifies future adjustments to the survey.

Data for change

Thanks to our solution, the data collected can be processed efficiently and used as a basis for further measures to improve the human rights situation. We at IndiScale are proud to be able to contribute to these socially important projects.
