Press release: IndiScale supports data collection for monitoring study on human trafficking in Germany
The German government has entrusted the German Institute for Human Rights with reporting on the implementation of the Council of Europe Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings and the EU Directive against Trafficking in Human Beings. The German Institute for Human Rights has now published its first comprehensive analysis of human trafficking in Germany in the form of the “Monitoring Report: Human Trafficking in Germany”. Part of the analysis consisted of a survey of the federal states on existing prevention measures, support systems, strategies and structures. The data management company IndiScale (located in Göttingen) was responsible for the technical development and implementation of this survey tool. The surveyed institutions were able to enter their data into a user-friendly web interface via secure access. A total of around 500 forms were received as a result. A connection to the LinkAhead data management software also ensures that the data can be used for future measures to curb human trafficking.
Daniel Hornung, lead developer in this project at IndiScale, says:
We are of course delighted to be able to make a significant contribution to the first Human Trafficking Monitor in Germany with our open source data management solutions. This is what sustainable digitalization should look like.”
