We are currently looking for a team-oriented software developer (m/f/d), for our open source software for research data management. Full-time or part-time, at least 20h per week. Fully remote possible. The position is open-ended.
IndiScale is an IT service provider and a growing, young company (founded in 2019). Our focus is the development and provision of open source software for the management of research data (https://www.indiscale.com/linkahead/). Our customers are research institutes, academic institutions and small and medium-sized enterprises, which we support in their innovative and scientific work.
Your Responsibility
You will work in a team to further develop our products (especially LinkAhead) and carry out contract development for our customers. You may also have to familiarize yourself effectively with the complex subject of research data management. In line with the size of our company, the activities are varied depending on current needs and personal preference. They include:
- Implementation of new components, features and extensions
- Styling and design of GUI
- Bug fixing
- Testing and validation
- Code reviews
- Planning and designing new components
- Technical documentation
Your Profile
Required
- Advanced skills in software development, achieved either during a university degree, by vocational training, by further training or by professional experience in the field of software development.
- Very good knowledge of English.
- Ability to work independently, critically and with an eye for detail.
Desirable
- Experience with Scrum or comparable agile project management methods.
- Experience in or knowledge of research (data management)
- German language skills.
- Anything from our software/technology stack:
- React, Refine, NextJS, Bootstrap, Material-UI, Leaflet, Django, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Spring, KeyCloak, NGINX, Docker, Gitlab, Sphinx, Linux.
- OpenAPI, gRPC, DOIP, JSON-API, OIDC and other interfaces.
- Components in Java, Python, R, Octave, Julia, JavaScript, TypeScript, C, C++.
